UXPin creates two lines on the color picker when the contrast checker is enabled, so design custom company can see where they need to be on the spectrum to satisfy either AA or AAA levels.
For text not less than 24px (18px if bolded), a contrast ratio of at least 3:1 is required; for text smaller than 24px, a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 is required.
Level AAA: Text not less than 24px (18px if bolded) must have a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1; text smaller than 24px must have a contrast ratio of at least 7:1.
Designers can also utilize UXPin’s color blindness simulator to test user interfaces from the perspective of this demographic, such as:
Color blindness in the red-green spectrum (Deuteranomaly, Deuteranopia, Protanomaly, Protanopia)
Color blindness in the blue-yellow spectrum (Tritanomaly, Tritanopia)
Blindness to all colors (Achromatically, Achromatopsia)
